When you are getting ready to start planning the big day you must keep in mind the little details. Wedding Coordinator’s can help in this area by listening your vision, asking the right questions, and taking care of the little details for you so you can sit back and enjoy your day, stress free! Now a Wedding Coordinator isn’t always required or feasible so here is a few tips from us to you to help with the details. when it comes to planning a ceremony effectively!

Let’s talk about the ceremony. Whether your ceremony is to be in a church, in a hall, in a hotel, or outside; there are different elements that need to be considered (and not just the weather lol). A church wedding tends to be the simplest as the seating and the “officiant” come with the venue and with it being indoors the weather is not a concern. Moving into a hall or hotel comes with other tasks such as rentals, space allowance, room set up and flip from ceremony to reception, and finding an officiant. Once again, weather is not a concern for an indoor ceremony. Now to talk about the biggest challenge – outdoor ceremonies.

Outdoor ceremonies are beautiful if the weather cooperates, the season is just right, and all the tiny details come together just right. Planning a wedding a year or more out, you can’t predict the weather you are going to have, and you will potentially have to relocate at the last minute. Having that back up location could mean putting a deposit down on a location and not ending up using it or even having to rearrange your reception spaces to accommodate the ceremony. If the weather does cooperate, there is the added bugs and wildlife, there can be uninvited guests using the communal outdoor space, or for some outdoor venues there is a short rental time period and that might interfere with your ceremony. On top of all that you now must add the expense of chair rentals, set up and tear down, sound/music system, and someone to monitor the space while the décor and equipment are there; nothing can be left unattended. If the outdoor venue is more private, tents can be rented and set up to keep out the weather. Just a few extra details that need to be considered.
