Holiday Costume Party

Costume parties are not only for Halloween! A costume party is a great idea and will allow your coworkers to get creative. You can choose a costume theme or just allow people to dress up in the Christmas Spirit. Think costumes of the Grinch, Santa and Rudolph. A costume party is a great way to encourage people to let their hair down and have some fun! Just think of all the amazing photos and memories you will have from the night.

Ugly Sweater Competition

Christmas is the season for fun sweaters such as sweaters with Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer or fun Christmas decorations. Inviting people to attend a corporate Christmas party with their ugly sweaters will create a relaxed atmosphere and encourage coworkers to let down their hair and have some fun. You can even make a competition out of it and vote for the ugliest sweater!

Tree Decorating

You can have a tree decorating station where people can go to add decorations or you can even make it a competition where you give groups mini Christmas trees to decorate. This is a great idea because you will get your coworkers to have fun together. You can plan this type of activity in advance and let people know to bring their own ornaments or you could arrange that yourself by investing in some cheap ornaments to be used.

Virtual Holiday Party

If you have an office that works remotely you can still have an office party! There are now many ways to have fully online parties. Virtual meeting rooms like Zoom (among other platforms) can be utilised to host virtual holiday parties. You could play a series of games or competitions such as charades or other fun activities. A virtual holiday party is also a great opportunity to gather team members who don’t work in the same vicinity or cannot make it in person.

Christmas Cooking Classes

A different idea for a corporate Christmas party is to take the party out of a venue and take your staff and coworkers to a cooking class! You could even host a cooking class at a selected venue. Cooking classes are more laid back than a party and will give people an opportunity to take things slow and enjoy learning how to cook together. Cooking classes are also great for the foodies and people who would prefer a classic meal over a party!

Christmas is a great time to celebrate the year that was with your staff and coworkers. Have fun and try something different or classic for your next corporate Christmas party and make it a night (or day) to remember!
